Sunday was one of the best sailing days I've ever had! The wind was steady at 10 knots all day, it was 78 degrees and bright sunshine. Too many power boat wakes, but that's life. I reflected on what a great ride it has been first building and now sailing my Haven. I wish I had pictures to share, but there was no one to take them.

One thing this site needs more of is photos of Havens under sail. I'll try to get some taken of my boat, and I hope you will submit any you may have of your own or other Havens sailing.

There are at least 3 boats I know of very near completion, so we should be seeing some launch photos soon.

Enjoy the season!!!

Tom

I too have had those days- I find that once two or three miles off shore (no powerboat wake) and steady wind, it's possible to hold a line of position with feet up I get lost in time. Those are the days I remember!

You guys are killing me!

Back in the day, I was only interested in the racing and didn’t really appreciate just “sailing”.

And yet, there were days like Tom described that would dampen the competitive fire and I just relaxed and enjoyed being out on the water.

Now a days the fire is out for good and I miss just getting out and enjoying the sail (although now I kind of like the idea of trying long distance trips up the coast. Maine maybe? That would be an adventure!).

Bill.

Here are some photos already on the site of Havens Under Sail. Send in new ones and we'll bring this up to date:
