I give up! I've been trying to figure out how big to make the fwd bulkead opening and cannot figure it out from most of the photos on this website. Can someone give me an idea on the dimensions of their opening. No need to discuss the w.t topic again. Also, does the mast get in the way enough to make two separate opening or just one bigger one.

Tom, I used two teak louvred doors with a removable piece in the center. It doesn't interfere with the mast. I'll get the opening and other measurements for you. Those are speakers on each side so I can listen to Beethoven or Elvis or Willie when I'm sailing! (Mostly Willie)

The opening on my boat is approx. 24" wide by 16" high.

Thanks, that helps a lot. Now I have to figure out whether to run my boards horizontal or vertical, do bead work, tongue and groove, laps or butts....

Isn't that always the way? Get one question answered and that leads to four more!
