I started my Haven last October and I' m at the step to figure out how to make the wood keel. In my area (Quebec), haven' t found any lumber (white oak 2" thick X 13 ft lenght) for this critical part.I' m seriously thinking of scarfing some boards and then laminate in 4 layers .375" thickness. Anyone had experienced this process before. My hull will be strip plank over biaxial fiberglass cloth saturated with epoxy.
