Looking at starting my shear planks and am interested in what tools everyone else has been using for it. I have some molding planes but was wondering what size radius or what number planes others have used to shape the 'swell'.

I did the table saw method as they describe in the book then mostly used my scrub plane by Lee-Nielsen. I used this plane to back out planks as well. Beyond that I mostly sanded. I find the scrub plane quite useful. I seem to pick it up a lot. Especially when I need to remove a lot of material fast.next newest topic | next oldest topic
