I built a Haven 12 1/2 several years ago, launched in the spring of '99. The bronze fittings I purchased from Roger Winiarski at Bristol Bronze are of high quality and have worked flawlessly. I feel that bronze fittings are the only way to go on a classic wooden boat like the Haven. They add to the boat's soul (only another builder can identify with that statement). Roger is a tremendous source of knowlege and was extremely helpful during the building process. Check out his catalogue, you will not be disappointed!

I purchased several items from Bristol and ended up buying from two other suppliers. After a side by side comparison, I personally thought the other vendors were much better quality.

I purchased items from Bristol Bronze, Reineck and Steve Ballentin. Reineck and Steve both advertise in WB magazine.
