Hi All - love this forum. I live in Sydney Australia and have been thinking of building a haven for some time and have been poring over the how to book. Has anyone had experience camp cruising the haven? Is the cockpit large enough for a 6 foot person to lie on the sole in comfort? Look forward to hearing.

Ben: Amazing how great the Internet is to allow you to know what we're up to with our Havens and for us to meet people from so far away.I haven't finished my Haven yet but ntend to use it on overnite camping. I'm 6' too and have laid on the deck next to the centerboard case several times just to see how comfortable it would be. Its not like my bed at home but with a sleeping bag; pillows; etc. I think I'd make out just fine. In fact with two sides that means room for two; even better. A boom tent would seem like a necessity too. I live about 60 miles from the lake I intend to store my Haven at; you're probably a lot closer to the water being in Sydney. How lucky. I'm sure all of the builders here on the Haven site look forward to you joining us either as a inquirer/planner or an actual builder. Keep in contact. Jack

Hey Jack - thanks for your response. Great isn't it that we can chat like old mates from different ends of the planet. How far through your build are you? Further to my query what is the dimension from bulkhead to bulkhead and does the standard arrangement of seat supports etc allow youy to recline with relative ease? There are not many havens down here so have not as yet been able to see one in the flesh as yet. Have also been bouncing ideas around in my head as to the most ideal boom tent configuration - food for thought. What is the name of the lake you will sail on? Cheers Ben.
